A.B. Munroe Dairy was founded in 1881 with a simple goal: deliver fresh milk directly to local families. From the very start, home delivery was at the heart of everything we did — bringing quality dairy straight to the door.

A.B. Munroe Dairy was founded in 1881 with a simple goal: deliver fresh milk directly to local families. From the very start, home delivery was at the heart of everything we did — bringing quality dairy straight to the door.

By the mid-1900s, Munroe Dairy had grown, but our focus never changed. Operating from our East Providence home, we continued to bottle and deliver our own milk, handled by our own drivers, with care and consistency you could trust.

As times changed, our commitment stayed the same. We continue to process and bottle our milk in-house, source from local family farms, and deliver directly to homes — offering fresh products you won’t find in stores.

Robert C. Armstrong (Bud) and his son, Rob Jr., carried the business forward as second- and third-generation owner-operators. Today, Rob remains closely involved, and his two daughters have joined the board to continue the Armstrong family’s fourth generation of ownership.

Looking ahead, A.B. Munroe Dairy remains committed to what has always mattered most: fresh milk, local farms, and dependable home delivery. By staying true to our roots while making things easier for our customers, we continue serving families the Munroe way.
